You can also park for free in Windsor on Bank Holidays at Windsor Library car park (maximum 2 hour stay).

Parking at Park and ride sites

There are three park and ride sites around Windsor, all offering free bus travel into Guildhall when you pay for parking. Parking at these sites is much cheaper (free on Bank Holidays) than the public car parks close to the town centre.

    1. Hi, I can confirm that charges for council car parks in Windsor are still applicable during bank holidays. Windsor Library car park is free during bank holidays.

  1. Thanks for the insight into where I can park for free in Windsor.
    I see that the only all day option is Peel Close. I see that the location flag on your map is marked on the horseshoe shape section, but Peel Close also runs all the way from the main road B3022, past that horseshoe section, all the way round to where it meets Upcroft.
    Am I correct to understand the free parking runs end to end throughout Peel Close?

    1. Hi Brian, thank you for using our website. The entirety of Peel Close offers free parking (unrestricted), so you can enter from either end. Please do check for any new signage that suggests restrictions have changed recently before leaving your car.
